January 2007 edition of LITTLE SHOP NEWS
Welcome to the January 2007 edition of LITTLE SHOP NEWS HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to 2007. How did you ring in the New Year? We would have liked to have gone out and celebrated, but Ellie doesn’t like fireworks, and I feel guilty leaving her home to fend for herself when they start “shooting at Yorkies.” Plus, there’s the fact that we’re boring and getting kind of too old to go out and party anyway. LOL! So, we watched the New Year hit New York and then us on TV. Fun, Fun, Fun. Then I woke up on New Year’s Day and the true joy began. You see, the doorbell rang at 8:00 a.m. and it was the LAW. I thought to myself, what could I have done? I was home all night and didn’t even play any loud music. Then I realized they weren’t there because of anything I did, but rather, what had been done to ME…along with every neighbor on my side of the street. Yep, we got hit by some mailbox bandits. So, I spent part of my holiday repairing a busted mailbox, but all was not lost. The sun was shining, so we took the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood to survey the damage and got in a little holiday exercise. You know, you might think I just brought that up so that I could talk about the really nice mailboxes and mailbox toppers we have at Little Shop, but I didn’t, it really happened. However, while I’m on the subject… I’ll let you know that if this ever happens to YOU and you decide to get a new mailbox, we do have a lovely selection featuring Yorkie mailboxes, and All Breed mailbox toppers. In addition, you can find house signs, yard signs, hanging brackets and weathervanes. Take a gander – http://www.littleshopofterrors.citymax.com/page/page/746715.htm Okay, so we did get our exercise in on New Year’s Day and actually, my Yorkies play ball every day, so they are still quite agile and full of energy, but once in a while, they still appreciate the pet stairs we have, both beside the bed and leading up to their lookout post in the front bedroom window. If you have small dogs, or older dogs who have trouble getting up on their favorite chair, or bed, or even in the car when it’s time to go to the park, or the Vet’s office, you will be happy to know that we feature a full line of pet stairs in various sizes, colors, and budgets. From Ultralite stairs weighing just 10 lbs. to our Deluxe Solid Hardwood furniture-quality stairs, you are sure to find something that is just right for your home, and very useful for your pet – http://www.littleshopofterrors.citymax.com/page/page/2320879.htm In addition, we also feature a huge supply of pet ramps, many of which are adjustable and great for the car or for around the home. We even have ramps with built in toyboxes. Check them out – http://www.littleshopofterrors.citymax.com/page/page/2321026.htm ** REMEMBER – Shipping is always FREE at Little Shop of Terrors NEW STUFF!!!!!! Okay, so maybe your pet didn’t get exactly what they wanted for Christmas…maybe someone got them collars and leashes and food bowls, but they really wanted toys. Well, today, they are LUCKY dogs, because we just got in some new Hide A Toys. There are FOUR new Hide A Toys, and plenty of other cool toys to choose from. Why not get a few of each, so you have replacements in case the first one gets too much love? http://www.littleshopofterrors.citymax.com/dogtoys.html COLD WEATHER PET TIPS Sometimes you need to give your pet a bath, but it’s really cold outside. Here is a great recipe for an animal dry bath: Mix 1 Tblspn of Trisodiumphosphate (TSP), 2 Tblspns Borax, 4 Tblspns Sodium Carbonate, 12 Tblspns of Talc, and 1 ½ Cups of Starch. Rub the mixture on the animal against the direction of the hair, then brush well or vacuum to remove the dry shampoo. Add a few drops of your pet’s favorite essential oil to leave them smelling sweet. ** We NOW have PAYPAL Gift Certificate options on nearly every page!
